Hilton is set to launch its inaugural Curio Collection by Hilton property in Hawaii this fall, bringing a new upscale option to Kauai. The Hale Hōkūala Kauai hotel will offer 210 rooms, each designed with views of the ocean or surrounding mountains on the island known as the “Garden Isle.”
New Resort Details
The resort, opening in November, will include a signature restaurant with views of a lagoon, an outdoor pool, and access to the Jack Nicklaus-designed Ocean Course at Hokuala golf club. Hilton executives state this addition reflects the brand’s expansion into premium travel destinations.
“Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi embodies the individuality, sense of place, and authentic moments that define the Curio Collection,” said Brooke Thomas, brand leader for Curio Collection by Hilton.
Strategic Location and Accessibility
The Hale Hōkūala Kauai hotel is strategically located less than two miles from Lihue Airport (LIH), providing easy access to Kauai’s popular attractions. Guests will have convenient access to areas like Princeville, Poipu, Waimea Canyon, and Wailua Falls, which are just a 15-minute drive away.
Hilton’s Broader Hawaiian Footprint
This marks the first Curio Collection hotel in Hawaii, but Hilton already operates over 25 other properties across the state, including high-end resorts like the Grand Wailea Maui and the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort. The Curio Collection itself spans nearly 200 hotels globally, from major cities to resort destinations.
Points and Reservations
The hotel is not yet taking reservations, meaning points-based booking rates remain unavailable. Travelers who prefer luxury experiences with Hilton Honors benefits will need to wait for the official launch date to check availability.
The expansion of the Curio Collection into Hawaii signifies Hilton’s commitment to catering to a growing market of travelers seeking upscale, culturally immersive experiences. The new resort will likely appeal to both leisure and golf-focused visitors, solidifying Hilton’s position as a dominant hospitality force in the region.
