The Ikon Pass, a popular multi-resort ski pass, has announced its details for the 2026-2027 season. While sales begin on March 12, the updates offer both improvements for existing passholders and modest price increases. The pass network now includes over 70 resorts globally, with varying levels of access depending on the pass tier purchased.
Pass Options and Pricing
The Ikon Pass system offers three main options:
- Full Ikon Pass: Starting at $1,349, this provides unlimited access to 18 destinations and up to seven days at 56 additional mountains with no blackout dates.
- Ikon Base Pass: Priced from $924, it offers unlimited skiing at 15 resorts but includes blackout dates (December 26-30, January 16-17, February 13-14). It allows up to five days at 54 other locations.
- Ikon Session Pass: At $299, this provides two to four days of skiing at 47 destinations, but blackout dates apply.
These prices are “starting at” and will be personalized based on available discounts when sales launch.
New Perks and Changes
For the 2026-2027 season, Ikon Pass is introducing several new benefits:
- Midwest Expansion: Snowriver Mountain Resort (Michigan), Lutsen Mountains (Minnesota), and Granite Peak (Wisconsin) have been added to the network.
- Bonus Mountain Access: Ikon Pass holders gain two free days at select smaller resorts in Minnesota, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
- Arapahoe Basin Access: The Ikon Base Pass now includes unlimited access to Arapahoe Basin in Colorado.
- Aspen Snowmass Reservations Removed: Reservations are no longer required for skiing at Aspen Snowmass.
Discounted Pricing Options
Ikon is also introducing new ways to save:
- Child Passes: Unlimited child passes are available with the purchase of an adult Ikon Pass, saving up to $100 per child.
- Squad Packs: Groups of young adults (ages 23-28) can save by purchasing five passes together.
- Renewed Discounts: Existing pass holders are eligible for renewal bonuses, including Mountain Credits, discounts from partners (Backcountry.com, Marriott Bonvoy, Ski Butlers), and more.
Discounts will also be available for college students, nurses, and military personnel.
Spring Skiing Access
Purchasing an Ikon Pass early unlocks spring skiing access at select resorts, including Big Bear Mountain Resort, Snow Valley, Crystal Mountain, Schweitzer, Solitude Mountain Resort, Snowshoe, Stratton, Sugarbush, Blue Mountain (Canada), and several others opening in April.
Risk-Free Purchase and Payment Plans
Ikon Pass now offers a fully refundable purchase option until January 15, 2027. Pass holders who have not scanned their pass by this date can receive a full refund for any reason. Payment plans are also available, allowing skiers to spread out the cost over three, six, or twelve months.
Maximizing Value with Points and Rewards
Combining Ikon Pass access with hotel loyalty programs can further enhance the skiing experience. Marriott and Hyatt properties frequently align well with Ikon Pass destinations, allowing skiers to earn and redeem points for lodging.
Ultimately, planning ahead and purchasing an Ikon Pass early not only secures the best price but also unlocks additional benefits, including spring skiing access and flexible payment options. This makes the pass a valuable investment for skiers looking to maximize their time on the mountain.
